Fickle was born out of Langusta's fascination with underground hip hop beatmaking, Arsenii's clinging to old-fashioned songwriting and Olena's droning vocals. The result is crude and eclectic, but also psychedelic and refreshingly pop.

We were making the record in-between our daily chores, working distantly from our homes and never addressed its integrity. Yet it seems like Fickle pretty much captured our life of the past two years, with its doubts and anxiousness, and occasional glimpses of joy.

Langusta on the technical aspects of this recording: "Mostly I work on lo-fi samplers/grooveboxes from the early 00's, including Boss SP303 & SP202 (about 50% of this record was made on this little bastard), Akai S20, Zoom 224. A couple of "Fickle" tunes come from EMX1 & ESX1 Electribes. All these nice guys were mixed and recorded with some help from TEAC 224, plus Sentimental Bob Echo in fx loop. Other inhabitants of my bedroom studio are Fender Mustang with the FRV-1 spring reverb always on, Yamaha Reface CP piano, a couple more guitar pedals, Pioneer CDJ800 for amateur scratching purposes, Roland MC303, used exclusively for its weird arpeggios."
