Lover in the Dark, by Icelandic artist Berndsen, is our first release on Geertruida. And what a record to start with! Needless to say this is a personal favorite here at the label, and we have had many midnight dancing parties to the music on this great album. The songs on this record are sometimes dark and sometimes heavenly creamed with throbbing beats, but also at certain points they take you to a joyful melancholic higher place where guitars go hand in hand with synthesizers and pop vocals.

Now, we could try and label it with eras and genres like eighties, italo, electro, synthpop, but we think that at this point you just have to stop listening to us and just order this thing so that you can hear for yourself. And if you do order, enjoy! And get that dancing party star
