‘Arboretum’ is a highly personal album, self produced by lmnop in 2022-2023. Ranging from small and fragile acoustic compositions to big immersive electronic soundscapes and anything in between; it balances on a fine line between conceptual music and (indie-)pop, making even the most unlikely sounds accessible for any audience. Soundwise the album has roots in experimentation with electronics, acoustics and field-recordings. ‘Non-musical’ parameters such as off-time metronomes, detuned sound sources and phone-recordings play a big role in lmnop’s sonic smorgasbord.
